This time around, it's Season 27 that's still ongoing. Updated October 25th, 2022 by Sid Natividad: Diablo 3 classes have always been a hot topic every quarter or so due to the seasonal content. Here's how each of the seven classes fares, ranked from least to most efficient. For those who are interested in Greater Rifts or any kind of ladder, then these classes will still satisfy the need for a fast room-clearing whirlwind of Hell hate. That's why it's rather important to know which classes are currently at the top this season. In each season of Diablo 3, balance changes tend to upset the efficiency of the classes and shake up the game's meta. As long as you position yourself well, you should be able to survive without any issues.RELATED: Games That Are Stuck In Development Hell (& Games That Actually Got Out) Now, during the last, 3rd phase of the fight, correct usage of the steed charge ability is absolutely crucial. Once it does, use it to dodge the deadly ability. Skull spiral is another extremely dangerous weapon in malthael's arsenal that can one shot you but it can be very easily dodged with steed charge - you could stand just on the very end of the room and avoid it all together but sometimes it might spawn on you (I found out the hard way) so that is why I recommend to stand in the middle and patiently wait for your steed charge to go off cooldown. 2nd phase was the most tough one by FAR mainly because of the lightning adds - you have to constantly move to prevent the adds from damaging you or else you will simply die (fun fact: I used roughly about 100 health potions during that phase :)).

The fight lasted for 2 hours and was definitely quite challenging, first phase of the encounter being the easiest. I had somewhere around 200k DPS and 40 million EHP (full yellow gear with one or two crappy legendaries). Some people asked for it so here is the build that I used to kill Mathael on torment 6 as a 1st crusader in the world and 4th person in Europe (not counting the group kills ).
